KEEP CALM it's A SHOW &SELL - updated

Thanks for checking out our first event, the Show and Sell fair....Doors open at 10am, close at 4pm(ish)
You can save, print and share this image - please pass on to family, friends and colleagues.

Unlike most craft fairs, this one has some unique attributes. Here are a few
  • Admission is totally FREE
  • There is a Free Prize Draw of a "Bundle of Love" for those who complete the experience cards...
  • All the exhibitors are Etsy shop owners. (see their banners below...)
  • The exhibitors are all local makers and artists, no corporate stands.
  • The event is part virtual, we will have several Etsy shops available online with their shops on display in a dedicated online fair section, with assistance for those unfamiliar with shopping on line.
  • The BIG UK CRAFTY CARD TABLE is where you can find stacks of business cards from contributing  UK craft sellers, craft shops, makers, artists and more who have paid a generous donation to be displayed here. The table is being supported by moo.com, our preferred business card print source.
  • Our makers will provide the refreshments - do try the cupcakes.
  • Our crafters will be showing makes all day in their own cinema show.
  • There will be an opportunity to talk with our members about crafts and what inspires them to use Etsy.
  • Our tame helpers will be able to help you try Etsy during the fair.
  • We are very easy to access via the A19, by train along the NE Coast using Northern Rail, and there are two buses, the 60 (Drifter) and 203 that stop right outside the venue. Maps are available here on a separate listing
  • We are yards from a branch of the Coast to Coast cycle route, and minutes from the North East Coast cycle route.
If that doesn't make you want to come for the day, there's also the coastal paths nearby, the beach, you can visit the new marina that opens this summer, or just relax with a coffee and a cupcake in our cafe area.

Here are some of the Etsy sellers that will be present (In no particular order)

Getting to the Show &Sell fair on may 5th

We are staging our KEEP CALM it's a SHOW &SELL event at the Dawdon Community Centre in Seaham.
Getting to the event couldn't be easier.
Seaham is located South of Newcastle and Sunderland, North of Hartlepool and East of Durham

By car you can leave the A19 on the A182 junction and head for Seaham. This map shows the junction to take...
as you reach the third roundabout, instead of following the coast road, take the one before and head into the housing estate, following the road as it curves left and under the railway bridge.
After the railway bridge, climb the hill for around 100yds, and turn right at the crossroads. On your left you'll see a large building, that's the venue. Then turn left just before the building and park anywhere around the park area behind the building.

On this last map you can see bus stops. The 60(Drifter) from Sunderland stops right outside the venue and runs every 10 mins. The 203 also stops here, from Houghton le Spring or Peterlee. It runs hourly.

Trains are also possible, Seaham station is not far from the end of Princess Road, which becomes Queen Alexandra Road where the venue is located.

There's even a cycle route, from Hetton to the coast, which passes a couple of blocks from the venue. If you leave the cycle route at the circular railings shortly before it goes under a bridge and into Seaham, you're on Shrewsbury Street, that runs behind the Centre.
